 About Us

Limerspots is a blog about my travel experiences.  It involves both international and national travel.  It is hoped that these travel experiences would help others as they embark on their trip.

It would be greatly appreciated if others would also share their experience(s) by commenting on the blogs.  Detail comments would assist others who would be travelling to that particular place of choice.  It would also help persons decide where to spend their vacation and what to do while there.

Locals are in a special position as they know their environment best.  Your input can help travelers enjoy their journey and gain a true taste of the local culture and atmosphere. I therefore urge locals to recommend places and things to do.

The blog hopes to touch on anything travel related, for example hikes, tours, museums, airport tips, seasons to best travel etc.

To those using this site before embarking on their trip, I implore you to ask questions, enjoy yourself and share your experience so others can learn from you.

Packing Packing for vacation is one thing but packing when leaving vacation is another especially when the vacation involves shopping.  I’ve discovered two methods of packing.  One involves layering the clothes while the other involves rolling the clothes up as small as possible.   I’ve tried both methods.   The layered method: The rolled or military style method: I think the rolled method works better if your bag comprises mainly of clothes.   The layered method works better when there are many bulky souvenirs like books, cups, plaques, shoes, electronics etc. since these can be placed and protected between layers of clothes.

Travelling with kids

Kids Travelling with kids can be challenging at times.  It is therefore important to be prepared to entertain them or keep them occupied so that you and the rest of the passengers can have some sort of peace. The video may be old but it is on point.   If you have a tablet or laptop etc make sure the battery life is to the max before leaving home so that they can have fun for the entire journey or at least most of it.   Watch the video to the end.   The last one is a classic.
